Conny Hatch is a minimalist assemblage artist working primarily with wood and metal found objects. Local history finds its way into the work of Hatch who purposes the cast-off elements of someone else’s life as raw materials for her sculptures. The discarded materials themselves are the main source of the artist’s inspiration. Hatch integrates each object into a work of art that often changes our perception of its utility.

Hatch has taught sculptural workshops at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, Truro, MA as well as the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. She is a recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2007). Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions throughout Massachusetts and has appeared in the Provincetown Banner, Provincetown Magazine and the Cape Cod Times.

Hatch studied studio arts extensively, most notably under the sculptor Paul Bowen (1999-2000). She received her BA, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Southern Maine.
