Howard Fussiner (1923 - 2006) studied Art Students' League; Hans Hofmann School, Cooper Union School of Art, 1947-1949, New York University,where he received a B.S. 1951 and a M.A. 1952. He also studied with Carl Nelson, Hans Hofmann, Robert Gwathmey, Hale Woodruff
He taught at Southern Connecticut State University, Professor of Art, from 1960 to 1988 as Professor Emeritus; Colby Sawyer College, New London, NH Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA.
Mr. Fussiner has exhibited his work nationally and spent many summers in Deer Isle, Maine.
