Jeff Loxterkamp earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. in 1984 and an MFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1989. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows throughout the midwest and Maine. Jeff moved with his family to Maine in 1999.

"My goal is to create an anachronistic virtual reality. Easel painting is one of the most anachronistic endeavors a person can do. I attempt to draw the viewer into other worlds. In my process I become concerned with other aspects on my art; texture, composition, color, abstraction and division on space."
